| Siegel-Crosson Family Trip to Sanibel Island, Winter 2008 |
| We loved our stay on Woodring Road. There were three of us in residence and many guests in various configurations over three glorious months. We loved the setting which really has to be seen to be believed. The house is surrounded by water and nearly surrounded by the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge. There are water views from every room and window and, because of the sanctuary, almost no house lights at night. The beach is an elegant curve that feels like part of the sanctuary. We saw endless birds—in flight, diving for fish, standing motionless on the beach or on pilings and nests—as well as manatee and dolphins. The stars at night are glorious. The effect is peaceful and serene, very tropical, and very special.
